Where does your money go?

On a large range of services which seek to help children, families, parents and carers often living in difficult circumstances.

Why we need your contributions?

Faith in Families (Swansea & Brecon Diocesan Board for Social Responsibility) opened its first project, Bonymaen Family Centre in March 1999. Over the last 11 years there has been considerable growth in the number, geographical spread and type of projects which are run by the Board.

The current projects are listed over the page, however, in addition we work in partnership with many statutory and voluntary organisations, community partnerships and local parishes to ensure that finite resources are targeted most effectively at some of the most needy families within our Diocese.

Much of our funding this year will be raised from Welsh Assembly and local government funding initiatives, Charitable Trusts and the Diocesan Board of Finance. The support of the parishes is however a crucial element in our funding as the monies received often allow us to either develop new projects or provide services that would otherwise not be possible.

Please take the time to read about the current supports and services we offer to families living with disadvantage.

Staff are always happy to come and talk to Parish Groups and would be pleased to support any local fundraising events, Coffee Mornings, Fetes etc. that parishes might consider running on our behalf.
